“What You Got To Do To Be A Peacemaker!” – An original song by Tanner Griffin – Copyright 2011

One, Two, Three (Echo: One, Two, Three)
Count the Peace Laws with Me (Echo: Count the Peace Laws with Me)
If you want to join, (Echo: If you want to join,)
Come and ask me. (Echo: Come and ask me.)

And I’ll see…And I’ll see…And I’ll see…

One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Oh My! (Echo: One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Oh My!)
Too many peacemakers to count, Why? (Echo: Too many peacemakers to count, Why?*)

A Peacemaker’s got (Echo: A Peacemaker’s got)
To at least have peace. (Echo: To at least have peace.)
Love and Friendship, (Echo: Love and Friendship,)
That’s the Key. (Echo: That’s the Key.)

Put your hands up, (Echo: Put your hands up,)
If you’re good to me. (Echo: If you’re good to me.)
I’m a good guy, you can see that for sure. (Echo: I’m a good guy, you can see that for sure.)
So if you’re a friend of mine, Knock on my door. (Echo: So if you’re a friend of mine, Knock on my door.)

(Spoken: Well at least if you’re a good guy)

(fade out) Peace, Love and Music….Peace, Love and Music…We got Peace, Love and Music.

*Why are there too many peacemakers to count?  Because I’m such a good peacemaker, that I’ve got too many people in the group.

Thanks for readin’ the lyrics of my song,
Tanner

  1. Great work Tan-the-Man! You’re like Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince both – rolled up into one little peace ball !!! Or, little ball of peace. Whichever you prefer.

Tanner, I just absolutely love the words you write in your songs. You really express how your heart feels and I am so happy that being a peacemaker and having others want peace as well is so important to you. I would love for our world to be full of peace and I know for certain that Jesus would want that as well! Keep writing your beautiful songs! I love you so much! YaYa! Poppy is very proud of you as well!

  3. Tanner, I am so impressed!
You are incredibly talented, and I love the message you send of “peace, love, and music.” You’ll have to play this song for me live next time I see you 🙂

Tanner Mike…awesome song dude!!! Great lyrics. I was singing it in my head the whole time. I wonder if I sing it in my head the same way you sing it in yours. I can’t wait to hear it next time I see you. I think my favorite part was the echoes. Nice touch! And the “Put your hands up” is a super cool line because next time you sing it in concert everyone will put there hands in the air. Keep rocking out the awesome lyrics kid. Aunt Talia and I love and miss you soooo much. Call us soon and give Tor a hug for us. Peace out

  6. Tanner, you are such an inspiration to all who know you and your work! God bless you—-love you so much!
