I’m Not an Octopus with Hands
An original song by Tanner Griffin – Copyright 2012

Verse:
I saw a bunch of girls I loved
I saw one at the pizza place, one at choir
I don’t even know ‘em
I just loved ‘em when I saw ‘em

Pre-Chorus:
I’ve got a lot of them
I’ve got a lot of crushes
But I can’t marry all of them

Chorus:
Because I’m not an octopus with hands
I can’t marry all of them
I’m not an octopus – WITH HANDS

Verse:
Why does every girl I like
At that second I fall in love with her, love me
And I’ve got a bunch of girls that when they see me, like me.
I told them to drop it, until we’re twenty…

Interlude:

Why Why Why Why Why Why Why Why Why Why Why Why…

Bridge:
Because I’m not an octopus with hands
I can’t marry all of them
Why does every girl I like, like me

Chorus:
Because I’m not an octopus with hands
I can’t marry all of you
I’m not an octopus with hands
I’m not an octopus – WITH HANDS!

Outro:
Because I’m not an octopus with hands, I can’t marry all of them… Because I’m not an octopus with hands, I can’t marry all of them…Because I’m not an octopus with hands, I can’t marry all of them…Yeahhhhhhh……

  1. Tanner, this is really great and well though out. I think your songs just keep getting better. You should really check out the Tom Waits album “The Early Years.” This kind of reminds me of something I might hear on that album, plus it is one of my favorites that your Uncle Eric introduced me to (he introduces me to lots of great music). Maybe it will inspire you. Love you – Aunt Nen

  2. Tanner Mike…I love this song! Very creative dude. “I told them to drop it, until we’re twenty” is my favorite line. Keep cranking them out. Great job! Love you -Uncle Ry
