My boat was full of fuel and it was a beautiful day
So I called up some friends and I said
Hey, do you want to go out fishing today?
They all said OK.

We were out for about two hours
When the rain started pouring downward
My friends all panicked but I said it’s OK
There ain’t nothing better than fishin’ in the rain.  Come on!

Our faces dripping wet
Our lines in the water
We popped open some beers
when down went five bobbers…

My friends all panicked but I said it’s OK
There ain’t nothing better than fishin’ in the rain.  Come on!

By the time we turned around and headed home
the moon was out, the storm had blown,
When i greeted my wife she said “Oh Glory!
Let me hear the whole dang story!”

I said…
“We were out for about two hours
When the rain started pouring downward
My friends all panicked but I said it’s OK
There ain’t nothing better than fishin’ in the rain.
No, There ain’t nothing better than fishin’ in the rain.
‘Cause we caught 42 keepers, fishin’ in the rain.”  Come on!
